“To Live Again: Arelia's Story” by Cam O'Keefe will be exhibited at the F rankfurt Book Fair 2025, taking place 15–19 October at Messe Frankfurt. Visitors will find the book on display at Hall 5.1, Stand D86, where The Maple Staple and Inks & Bindings are presenting over 150 titles in their collaborative showcase.
Set in 1348 at the height of the plague, the novel follows 12-year-old Arelia, left orphaned and alone after the epidemic takes her family. Guided by faith and her father's treasured Psalter and amulet, she endures hardship, betrayal, fleeting moments of grace, and a forgotten angelic visitation. Her journey through danger and discovery eventually leads her to her father's homeland, but the question remains whether she has truly found her place of belonging.
The book, first in a planned trilogy, was born from what O'Keefe describes as “mental movies” she handwrote decades ago, later brought to life during the pandemic. Now embraced by readers across generations, Arelia's story resonates as one of perseverance, truth, and the power of faith to heal even the deepest wounds.
The Maple Staple, now in its second year at Frankfurt and co-exhibiting for the first time with Inks & Bindings, will present O'Keefe's novel alongside a diverse lineup of independent authors. Their program includes book spotlights, giveaways, and a free audiobook listening area designed to celebrate storytelling in all its forms.
“To Live Again: Arelia's Story” will be on display at Hall 5.1, Stand D86 during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025. Visitors are welcome to discover the book at the stand, while readers around the world can explore Arelia's journey through Amazon and other major book retailers.
