New agreement expands access to affordable, high-quality Catholic education

EMMITSBURG, Md., Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Mount St. Mary's University has partnered with Saint John Vianney High School through a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) that guarantees admission and a renewable scholarship to eligible graduates who meet specific criteria. The agreement strengthens access to high-quality Catholic education and creates a seamless pathway from high school to university.

The agreement, signed by Josh Karlheim, Executive Director of Admissions, and Margaret Kane, Principal, guarantees admission to Mount St. Mary's University for graduates of Saint John Vianney who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and satisfy all admission requirements.

Eligible students will receive renewable scholarships ranging from $27,000 to $35,000 per year, representing a total potential value of $108,000 to $140,000 over four years.

In addition, students who apply by May 1 are eligible for $5,000 Catholic High School Scholarships per year. Participating schools will also have opportunities to schedule dedicated campus visits, admissions workshops, and counselor meetings with Mount St. Mary's University
