Local mortgage lender brings together Northeastern Pennsylvania community for a day of friendly competition benefiting local cancer patients.

My City Lending, a branch of Novus Home Mortgage, brought together local business leaders, real estate professionals, and community members for its inaugural Charity Pickleball Tournament on June 10 at Lords Valley Country Club, raising funds to benefit the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.
The event combined friendly competition with a shared commitment to giving back, with 100 percent of proceeds supporting the Institute’s mission of providing education, advocacy, and patient support services throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. The tournament proceeds were doubled through a matching contribution from My City Lending, maximizing the event’s charitable impact.
The tournament was made possible through the support of community partners, including Meagher Insurance Agency, Affordable Home and Building Inspections, Iron Valley Real Estate Innovate, and Avanti Abstract, whose sponsorships helped maximize the event’s charitable impact.
On the court, Tim Hoban of My City Lending and Michelle Valvano of Classic Properties claimed the tournament championship, while Meghan Gapp and Marie Kovaleski of RE/MAX earned the Best Dressed Award for bringing both style and spirit to the day’s festivities.
