The Maple Staple will present a special showcase of author and educator Trudi J. Carter's books at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026. Giving her body of work a dedicated placement at Hall 5.1, Stand D86. From October 7 to 11, all nine featured titles will be on display throughout the five-day event. Trudi will be signing copies of her books Friday and Saturday.

A teacher for more than four decades, Carter worked with students in classrooms, advanced learning programs, personalized tutoring, and adult training. Using her experiences in education, she wrote True Learning: A Renaissance in Education. Bringing together lesson samples, classroom stories, enrichment strategies, analytical and learning techniques, she creates a new way to teach children – renaissance. Her methods are designed to teach children to become independent and lifelong learners.

Carter's books for children begin in 2014 with Can Dragons and Frogs Be Friends? with coloring pages at the back. The story moves to a broader imaginative world with Can Dragons and Frogs Ever Be Friends?: Second Edition. Set in Great Forest, dragons, frogs, and an unlikely hero named Melville become a story of compassion, choices, and courage. Its companion, A Coloring Book for Can Dragons and Frogs Ever Be Friends?, invites youngsters to bring their colors and design to its pages.

The Spotlight Showcase collection also includes Stories in Rhyme: A Hundred Monkeys Run Over the Roof. The rhyming adventure is about a child, a jungle play hut, and a growing troop of monkeys who become heroes. A Trilogy of The Great Forest Adventures: A Children's Coffee Table Book, gathers ancient letters, diaries, journals, rhymes, and tales of forest animals and mythological creatures into an amazing tapestry of medieval adventure.

The three Emerald Editions explore the Great Forest Adventures again through distinct formats: Ancient Book One: A Collection of Letters, Ancient Book Two: A Journal, and Ancient Book Three: Long Ago Notes. Along with Melville, you meet Forest Squirrel, Beach Bird, Owl, the dragon twins, Unicorn, and other inhabitants of the Great Forest and Ocean Wave City.

Trudi's Frankfurt showcase reflects the range of her work. Shaped by her interest in forests and beaches, she weaves her educational and practical skills in True Learning with the children's imaginative universes. Visitors will have an opportunity to see the complete featured collection and meet the author. Her book signing is next week both Friday morning and Saturday afternoon.
